Create your own DeLorean time machine replica model

Back to the Future movie fans across Australia will be salivating at the arrival of the 'build your own' DeLorean time machine replica model which goes on sale at newsagents across the country from today.   Global giant Eaglemoss Collections is launching a magazine in Australia on Monday 19 June that will be released weekly along with model parts to build a 1:8 scale die-cast, highly detailed replica model of Doc Brown’s Back to the Future movie time machine car, the DeLorean.

The magazine release will enable fans to build their own replica model of Doc Brown's DeLorean by purchasing the magazine each week which will include a different part each week.  The finished model will be over 50cm in length and include highly detailed working parts.

“We are really excited to be launching the opportunity for Back to the Future fans to build their very own replica DeLorean,” Ben Robinso, Director of Eaglemoss' Men's Projects said earlier today.

“The replica features metal body panels and a wealth of working lights and parts.

“It is packed with tiny details that everyone is going to love, including: cables, lights in the ceiling, the flux capacitor, time circuits, windup windows, a working brake pedal, wheels that tilt and much more.

“It will be a great weekly hobby for fans, to buy their magazine and piece their DeLorean together.

“The magazine will feature a history of the design of the DeLorean time machine, along with step-by-step instructions on how to put the pieces together from each issue.

“The opening pages of every magazine provide straightforward instructions that show you exactly how to construct the model.

“The parts are all named and numbered for easy reference, and the instructions are illustrated with easy-to-follow drawings.

“The construction process is very simple and all the parts simply click or screw together. The only tools needed are a set of screwdrivers and a pair of pliers.

“The end result is a fantastic replica that will stand around 50cms in length and feature amazing detail.

“We have put a lot of time and resources into this DeLorean project and we have involved the best people in the world including Joe Walser, who restored the original time machine for Universal Pictures – and according to Bob Gale, writer and producer of Back to the Future, knows more about the DeLorean than anyone else on earth!

“If you love Back to the Future and the DeLorean, then you’re going to love this replica.   It is the best piece of Back to the Future movie memorabilia I have ever seen.”
