Read up on guidelines before you get started – Depending on where you plan to travel, you’ll likely run into different rules and regulations everywhere you go, even for things that may not seem like you should be concerned about. For example, perhaps you’d be looking to play your favourite mobile game whilst on the road in your new temporary home, but some titles aren’t as useable with the likes of online gambling sites like those found at CNOG for example, or even the use of certain apps like VPN’s too. Be sure to read up so you should and shouldn’t avoid, as you don’t want to land in a spot of bother simply because you didn’t read up ahead of time.

Have some work lined up before you get going – It seems like an obvious one, but you’d be surprised at how many people look to leave everything behind and hope to find something whilst they’re on the move. There has been the emergence of newer travel visas aimed particularly at digital nomads over this past year too with many becoming available with the stipulation that you have a set salary or income for working in a new country, this is to assure that you already have something set-up ahead of time so you may be restricted in where you can and cannot go if you don’t already have work lined up to get started.

Plan your route, and don’t be afraid to stray a little – The beauty of the digital nomad lifestyle is that it is ultimately what you make of it, if you’re looking to stay on the move and travel the world with the digital nomad lifestyle then it is important to plan a route so you can keep costs lower and travel efficiently, but also to not be afraid to stray from that route at times too. Much of the experience is the new sights and sounds, and a big part of this will be not staying strict in order to experience something you weren’t expecting or something new to keep every aspect of your journey as exciting as possible.
