Sheraton Melbourne Hotel Afternoon Tea

  • Written by Callum Crossing

The clink of fine white porcelain, the chink of crystal champagne glasses and the crunch of your first bite into a perfectly crisp macaroon; savour these offerings and more at the new Sheraton Melbourne Hotel Parisian Afternoon Tea.

A refined and contemporary affair, the Sheraton Melbourne Hotel Parisian Afternoon Tea takes the classic ritual to another level with a modern, French flair to suit its stylish location at the Paris end of Little Collins Street.

Serving La Maison Du Thé loose-leaf teas in beautiful art deco Guy Degrenne Tea Pots, Sheraton Melbourne Hotel Parisian Afternoon Tea is a statement in glamour offering a limitless Afternoon Tea Buffet on weekends and classic Afternoon Tea Stands on weekdays.

The menu will offer favourites such as the mandatory scones with jam, lemon curd and cream, and a tantalising selection of tasty savouries such as their modern take on the chicken sandwich - the mini avocado and chicken croissant. The menu will also feature a delicious array of freshly prepared petite sandwiches, buttery savouries, prettily perfumed sweet treats and mini French éclairs.

Master Pâtissier Louise MK Lee from The Crux & Co will be preparing a delectable array of the best éclairs, macaroons and opera slices in Melbourne, all made exclusively for the Sheraton High Tea.

For those who wish to indulge, Sheraton will have several 'bubble' offerings. On arrival, choose from a glass of Australian Sparkling Wine for $69pp or non-vintage Champagne Bollinger for $84pp, to a pretty in pink Bollinger Rose non-vintage available by the glass for $35.

Lastly, the 'pièce de résistance', Sheraton Melbourne Hotel will offer a stunning crêpe suzette station, where delicious crepes will be prepared fresh to order during the service.

Whether shopping for the latest Louboutin or celebrating an impending nuptial, Sheraton Melbourne Hotel Parisian Afternoon Tea is a charming destination for fashionable weekend refreshments with friends and family.
