Financial Quick Tips for a Start Up Office Commercial Cleaning Business

  • Written by News Company

All business depends on how well a business owner manages the finances of the business. Big or small commercial cleaning business requires the same attention when it comes to balancing the financial ledger at the end of the financial year. What are the dos and donts that an emerging office cleaning business needs to know in order to survive? It is easy to manage office cleaners and all other employees who will be involved in your business. This means you need to focus on managing the financial side of it to make sure that it will become a success.  This article will give you a quick guide on what’s important for you to know in safeguarding the cash flow of your business.

Do not mix your business expenses with your personal ones and vice versa. Business credit cards should only be used for purchases that are solely for the business and not for your personal needs and that goes the same as your personal credit card. Do not use your personal credit card to purchase anything that is business-related. Keep these two separate as this can be confusing in the long run for your commercial cleaning business.

The same principle applies to mobile phones. If your business is already able to apply for a business phone, please do so. Do not use your personal phone for business. It also promotes a well rounded work-life balance. Nowadays, a lot of phone companies offer and affordable to start-up businesses. You might as well consider taking advantage of one.

Take some time to sit and review your financial records. It is best to include this bookkeeping practice once a week. It will not take too much time and it will also help you be on top of everything. You can also keep track of your office cleaner’s salary or you will know how much your commercial cleaners is spending on current supply. You can observe first hand if your business is progressing or if there is a decline. You will be able to spot potential trouble areas first hand if you have your books straight.

Double-check your records for loopholes and inconsistencies. Smaller businesses do not have this kind of challenge as there are only a handful of customers that they need to keep track of. Bigger businesses cannot be too sloppy on this process. If you fail to record a certain invoice, you may not remember following through, and this will end up to any invoice not paid by the customer. This is a perfect example of financial pitfalls.

If you really think that record-keeping is not for you, please consider hiring a professional. Do not make your business suffer by not consulting the people that have the ability to make these processes straight for you. A lot of firms offer accounting assistance and they will have all your records straight for a very minimal amount of fee.
