TruTravels 13 Day Full Moon Experience

Day 1 – Airport pick up, meet & greet
You will be met on arrival in Bangkok by your group leader who will take you to your guesthouse and introduce you to the rest of your group. The first day is kept free to relax and unwind after a long flight before heading out to get to know the group over dinner and a few drinks (or buckets) on the famous Khao San Road.

Day 2 – Bangkok River Cruise & Temples
Today we explore Bangkok and experience some of Thailand’s history and culture. We feel the best view of the city is from our private longtail boat along the Chao Phraya River, taking some back canals along the way to show you the city from behind the scenes. We stop at two historic temples before hopping in a Tuk Tuk back to our guest house. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy Bangkok and we will meet for dinner and again head to Khao San Road in the evening to sample some more of Bangkok's nightlife.

Day 3 – Thai Massage & Overnight Train
Today we check out of our Bangkok accommodation as we prepare for our journey down south. In the morning we will go to a local spa for a traditional Thai Massage, the perfect way to relax before the overnight train. You will have a few hours to shop on Khao San Road before we meet late afternoon to head to the train station. On the train, you can either catch up on some sleep on the full size beds, have a few beers and get to know your new travel buddies or take in the views of both Bangkok and the Thai countryside as we travel south to our next destination.

Day 4 – Khao Sok National Park
We arrive in Surat Thani early where our transport will be waiting to take us to the beautiful Khao Sok National Park. Khao Sok is home to some of the most breath taking scenery in Thailand and possibly the world. We’ll be staying in floating bungalows on a fresh water lake surrounded by mountains and rain forest which looks like something out of Jurassic Park! We stop on the way for some swimming and cliff jumping and when we arrive at the bungalows the day is yours to enjoy paradise. Relax by the lake, float around with a beer, do some kayaking or tubing or join us on a boat ride to do some monkey spotting! The food here is great and, all cooked on the floating kitchen and free! Day 5 – Arrive in Koh Phangan – Haad Rin

After Khao Sok we catch the ferry to Koh Phangan. When we arrive we are taken to Haad Rin and checked into our resort where we will get to spend the afternoon and evening chilling by the pool or exploring the town and beaches.  In the evening we will go out for dinner and hit up the full moon beach for a Koh Phangan style beachparty.

Day 6 – Shipwrecked Island Boat trip and night at Bottle Beach

On day 6 we will take you on our party boat around the island of Koh Phangan for snorkelling, waterfall visits, & much fun and games on the boat. We end up at Bottle Beach (one of our favorite spots in Thailand), a beautiful, secluded bay in the North of Koh Phangan where we can either chill out in the sea or on the beach or continue the fun into the evening with our own private beach party complete with cocktails, a camp fire, lanterns & music. You will spend the night in your own private beach bungalow and can wake up at your leisure to the sound of the waves breaking against the sand.

Day 7 – Bottle Beach day

Today you will have the morning to laze around on Bottle Beach, swim, play beach volleyball/football, build sandcastles or whatever else you want to do. We may even get our mate Jamie round for some optional wakeboarding in paradise.  Later we are picked up by our boat for another amazing scenic ride along the coast back to Haad rin for our final night in our beachside resort. 

Day 8 – Check in to Full Moon accomodation

 Full mooners will check out of Neptunes resort and in to the full moon accommodation which will be either an AC dorm or twin share bungalows in Haad rin right round the corner from the action. (If you have a strong preference for accommodation please let us know well in advance. Upgrades are available). We will meet in the evening and head for a few drinks at our HQ Reggae House to ponder the approaching full moon party and final days of the tour.

Day 9 - Phangan Total Wipeout day and Sunset Pool Party

Take a drive up the West coast of Phangan to Laem Som lake where we will spend the afternoon attempting to tackle the famous Phangan Total Wipeout course, chilling by the lake and playing on the inflatables. In the evening we will head up the hill to probably the best place you will ever watch a sunset from. It is a very, very cool bar with music, cocktails, beer, viewing deck from where you can see right out to sea and over to Samui and Ang Thong Marine Park. The best feature about this bar though is the new infinity swimming pool which we will sit in, drink in hand and watch the sun go down as we prepare for the party tomorrow. Life doesn’t get much better…

Day 10 – Slip n Fly party
More water fun in Koh Phangan, we head to the new water park/party on the island boasting hugs water slides, volleyball pool, bar, dance floor, and loads of games like trick contests, tug of war, twister and more..

Day 11 - Full Moon Party day

Free day to recharge and prepare. We meet in the evening for pre party drinks and UV painting session before heading to the beach to do the Full Moon Party TruTravels' style! Those of you hard core enough to make it till sunrise (it’s the best bit!!) may even get to join us to the after party which starts in the morning and goes on all the next day!

Day 12 - Chill out

Depending on what time you stumble in from the party you will probably need some of today to sleep and recover so the only activity planned for today is a nice Thai massage and possibly a film at a local bar.

Day 13 – Check out

If you have not booked onward travel we are on hand as always to help you get to wherever you want to go. We can help you arrange to stay on or to get back to Bangkok or almost anywhere else in Asia if you want.
