10 REASONS WHY YOU MUST DEEP CLEAN YOUR BATHROOM

Our bathrooms are one of the places that attract the most bacteria, dirt, and grime and they are also one of the most difficult places to clean. You can clean all you want and when you look again you will find that more cleaning is needed. That is why you should deep clean your bathroom regularly so that it is clean and tidy. No matter how much stuff you have in there, whether you have the latest toilets, a bathtub, and tiled floors you still need to do it.

Why Is a Clean Bathroom So Important?

You need to keep your bathroom clean so that you can prevent all types of diseases as well as infections. Filthy bathrooms also have an adverse effect on babies as well as individuals who are already sick or are aging. A dirty bathroom can have the following effects:

Breathing

There are a lot of bacteria like mold and the presence of dust particles that can invade our bodies through our breathing and create dire problems for us like asthma or even pneumonia, and chronic bronchitis, as well as other conditions.

Microorganisms, Viruses, Bacteria, and Pathogens

A lot of these organisms can really stay alive for weeks after they are introduced into the environment. You need to make sure that you wipe all the surfaces on a daily basis so that it can kill the bacteria. You can use various solutions for this purpose like vinegar, bleach, as well as anti-bacterial cleaners. Make sure that you pay special attention to all the surfaces that include toilets, tubs, sinks, floor, handles, and faucets as well as any other surface that is present.

There are a number of viruses that are usually present in bathrooms like stomach viruses that cause intestinal diseases. These include Norovirus, Salmonella, E. coli, and many others. There are also other types of bacteria, viruses, and fungi like staph, mold, athlete’s feet fungus mildew, and several others that might exist in your bathrooms. Regularly giving your bathroom a deep clean can greatly reduce the number of these organisms and save you from all these diseases.

Another reason for giving our bathroom a deep clean is that when we age our immune systems get weaker and weaker. It doesn’t matter how healthy we are or how active we are, it is a phase of life and happens to all of us. This means that we become more susceptible to these diseases as compared to when we were younger. The same is the case with babies because their immune system is not fully developed yet. They are more prone to falling victims to these organisms than anyone else.

SAFETY

Another thing that you have to take care of is the safety of the individuals in the bathroom. Keep your bathrooms free of all types of clutter like magazines and stuff so that you can clean it easily. If you have a lot of items littered on the floor then you might miss a few spots when you are cleaning and that can cause the organisms to grow. Make sure that you use deodorizing solutions or disinfectant sprays everywhere so that you can ensure the safety of your household.

Some Reasons for Deep Cleaning Your Bathroom

  1. Usually, we don’t have the time to clean each and every surface of the bathroom and we resort to quick cleaning. That is one of the most important reasons to deep clean your bathroom on a regular basis.

  2. When people visit your house, they might have to go to the bathroom. It will be a very embarrassing situation if they find dust, mold, or any other substance in your bathroom.

  3. You can ensure that your bathroom is completely clean and that there are no germs, bacteria, viruses or any other type of harmful organisms or materials in the bathroom.

  4. Another good reason to give your bathroom a deep clean on a regular basis is the smell. When bathrooms are left unclean, they will develop a foul and disgusting stench that will not leave. Usually, it is because of the high moisture count. It could also be because of the things that we keep in bathrooms like the laundry hamper.

  5. When we flush down the waste, that doesn’t ensure that all of it has gone down. Tiny, too small to see particles remain. They don’t just remain in the toilet but they spread around the room if there is no cleaning. This especially happens if you leave the toilet seat up. Give your bathroom a regular deep cleaning if you don’t want these particles on every surface and every item that is in the bathroom.

  6. Warm and damp environments are the breeding ground for bacteria. Unclean bathrooms have a lot of damp and warm spaces that provide a favorable atmosphere for these organisms.

  7. If you have children then there is a chance that they will spill something or the other in the bathroom and a quick clean might not be enough to get rid of the liquids that have been spilled.

  8. Another good reason for a deep clean is the mold. Mold mostly happens when we don’t have proper airflow in our homes. When we don’t have proper ventilation due to sealing our houses we run the risk of providing favorable circumstances for the mold to grow. Deep cleaning can tell us if we have mold in our bathrooms and that means we need a better ventilation system.

  9. If you or someone is ill in the house then it is mandatory to give your bathroom a deep cleaning so that they don’t deteriorate and their condition doesn’t become worse.

  10. A lot of areas in the bathroom like under the sink or under the flush don’t get cleaned when you are in a hurry. A deep clean can take care of all these areas.

CONCLUSION

These and more reasons tell us that it is better to give our bathrooms a deep clean on a regular basis rather than falling sick again and again. Therefore, for the safety of your family as well as yourself, keep your bathrooms spick and span.
